COME OUT OF YOUR TENT - [Sermon Note]

Pastor Deborah

2 TIMOTHY 1:9 NKJV

who has SAVED us and CALLED us with a holy CALLING, not according to our works,

but according to HIS OWN PURPOSE and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus BEFORE TIME BEGAN,

Each one of us has been called by God and has a purpose.

Before time began, God already called each one of His children.

ISAIAH 57:15 NKJV

For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits ETERNITY, whose name is Holy:

“I dwell in the high and holy place, With him who has a contrite and humble spirit,

To revive the spirit of the humble,

And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

H5703 eternity

Original: עד

Transliteration: ‛ad

Phonetic: ad

Strong's Definition: From H5710; properly a (peremptory) terminus, that is, DURATION, in the sense of PERPETUITY:- ETERNITY, ever (-lasting, -more), old, perpetually, + world without end.

The word “ayin” means – eye; to see, and by extension, to understand and obey.

It also means “Divine Providence”.

The ayin is described as having 2 eyes – the choice of using good or evil to perceive things – optimism or pessimism.

Eternal spirit can see eternity, see the spirit realm.

Ayin is a silent letter.

(No translation of it in English)

It sees, but does not speak; representing humility.

The name ayin can also mean “eye” or “fountain”,

a fountain of wisdom and the ability to perceive wisdom.

Spiritual eyes open and able to see things from the spiritual realm.

THE MEANING OF DALET

1. DALET = DOOR

Literally, the word “Dalet” means door.

It can be the door to a house door or to a tent.

Spiritually, the meaning of Dalet is: BRINGING US TO opportunities, a DOOR that is open for us to pass through so that we can be transported from a season which we have been going through to a NEW season, with a NEW victory and abundance in the NEW place.

Dalet “4”

Dalet is the picture of a hanging tent door.

The door, dalet, also can mean the movement of one coming from or going into the tent.

As is the case with every word, we can interpret negatively or positively.

During dalet, one will either MOVE

(1) OUT OF or

(2) BACK INTO their tent.

Will you choose to vacate places of confinement or will you choose to retreat into the tent of isolation?

When we go to work, we are to go and enjoy.

No need to work out of fear of lack.

He wants us to enjoy this life spiritually first to know Him, then mentally and physically.

In order to step outside of the tent, one must BOW to clear the low-hanging door.

To come out of limitation and confinement, dalet will require us to HUMBLE ourselves in a curious way.

When bowing, one has a particular view of his feet, hands, arms and body in general.

ON OUR WAY OUT of the tent, we must LOOK at -

our feet (symbolic of our journey),

our hands (symbolic of our accomplishments),

our arms (symbolic of our strengths),

and our body (symbolic of our health and wholeness).

Dalet does not require you to be perfect, but merely honest in these four critical areas.

If you are to come out of your tent of limitation, whatever is limiting you must be targeted.

Many are kept from their destiny because they refuse to acknowledge the purpose for which they were created.

Sometimes we want to be anything BUT what God has called us to be.

“Should the thing that was created say to the one who created it, ‘Why have you made me like this?’” Romans 9:20 NLT

The more QUICKLY you embrace the obvious purposes of God for your life, the SOONER you will see the promise.

Be brave!

Remember it is He, the Lord, Who will lead you out of the tent – if you are willing to honestly look.

DOORS will OPEN this year as you are WILLING to WALK THROUGH them.

Responsibility is shifting into your hands, forcing you to decide, “How bad do I want it?”

“Is my potential future worth the cost of my comfort?”

“Can I survive outside of my tent of limitation?”

What you can expect to greet you as you step through your tent door.

GENESIS 15:1-2 NKJV

After these things the WORD of the LORD came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid, Abram.

I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.”

But Abram said, “Lord God, what will You give me, seeing I go childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?”

GENESIS 15:3-4 NKJV

Then Abram said, “Look, You have given me no offspring; indeed one born in my house is my heir!”

And BEHOLD, the WORD of the LORD came to him, saying, “This one shall not be your heir, but one who will come from your own body shall be your heir.”

GENESIS 15:5 NKJV

Then HE BROUGHT him OUTSIDE and said, “LOOK now TOWARD HEAVEN, and count the stars if you are able to number them.”

And He said to him, “So shall your descendants be.”

H2351 outside

Original: חץ חוּץ

Transliteration: chûtschûts

Phonetic: khoots

Strong's Definition: from an unused root meaning to SEVER; properly SEPARATE by a WALL, that is, OUTSIDE, outdoors: - abroad, field, forth, highway, more, out (-side, -ward), street, without.

GENESIS 15:6 NKJV

And he BELIEVED in THE LORD, and He accounted it to him for righteousness.

When we believe it, we can see the manifestation.

COME OUT of the tent of fruitlessness and frustration.

Re-envision God’s promises made long ago.

After journeying for 10 years, waiting for the promise of God to make him a father of many nations, Abraham at the age of 85, was tired and discouraged by what he saw.

He concluded that God would not bless him with his own son.

He was consumed by the natural reality that he and his wife were too old to experience what God has promised.

Look at the spiritual.

Come out from the tent; from the limitation (physical realm)

But God brought him to experience Dalet.

After waiting and waiting, getting older and becoming contented with the reality before the eyes, he ran out of energy to hope for a biological child.

When Abram was in his tent, he was imprisoned by the physical reality that he and his wife were barren, old and withered and that buried the hope that lived in his heart.

However, God brought Abram OUT of the DOOR of the tent.

This was the DALET that was OPENED, the DOOR of the tent that Abram PASSED THROUGH.

When Abram STEPPED OUT and PASSED THROUGH the Dalet,

he became someone who “LOOKED UP” and “SAW STARS” and eventually, OBTAINED the CERTAINTY of GOD.

Doubts were cleared.

The door that God opened enabled Abram to MOVE from barrenness without any hope to become the father of the faithful, the father of many nations.

Abraham BELIEVED what GOD said AFTER SEEING the stars in the sky.

God counted that moment as righteousness for Abraham.

As the time of Sarah becoming pregnant drew near, God once again revealed His Words to Abram at the age of 99 years.

GENESIS 17:1 NKJV

When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless.

When God revealed to himself to Abram, “I am EL SHADDAI (Almighty God)”,

He taught and developed Abram to become someone who went to the next level, towards attaining power to REVERSE a situation that seemingly was impossible to become a miracle.

Reverse the sickness, lack, poverty etc.

God will give us the wisdom and strategy.

From the dead seed of a man as a result of his old age, it was raised up to become a NEW and FRESH SEED, capable of bearing offspring.

Before the manifestation happen, we speak it out/call forth first.

GENESIS 18:1-2 NKJV

Then the LORD appeared to him by the terebinth trees of Mamre, as he was sitting in the TENT DOOR in the heat of the day.

So he LIFTED his EYES and LOOKED, and BEHOLD, three men were standing by him; and when he saw them, he ran from the tent DOOR to meet them, and bowed himself to the ground,

When God send us angels, it can be in a form of a human being.

GENESIS 18:3-5 NKJV

and said, “My Lord, if I have now found favor in Your sight, do not pass on by Your servant.

Please let a little water be brought, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree.

And I will bring a morsel of bread, that you may refresh your hearts.

After that you may pass by, inasmuch as you have come to your servant.”

They said, “Do as you have said.”

Speak God's word confidently.

Being a servant of God is not scary.

We have God who back us up.

GENESIS 18:6-8 NKJV

So Abraham HURRIED into the TENT TO SARAH and said,

“QUICKLY, make ready three measures of fine meal; knead it and make cakes.”

And Abraham RAN to the herd, took a tender and good calf, gave it to a young man, and he HASTENED to prepare it.

So he took butter and milk and the calf which he had prepared, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree as they ate.

GENESIS 18:9-10 NKJV

Then they said to him, “Where is Sarah your wife?”

So he said, “Here, IN THE TENT.”

And He said, “I will certainly return to you according to the time of life, and behold,

Sarah your wife shall have a son.”

(Sarah was listening in the TENT DOOR which was behind him.)

We need to be at the door to listen and hear.

H6607 tent door

Original: פּתח

Transliteration: pethach

Phonetic: peh'-thakh

Strong's Definition: From H6605; an OPENING (literally), that is, DOOR (gate) or ENTRANCE WAY:- door, entering (in), entrance (-ry), gate, opening, place.

Our spirit man needs to be open.

When it is close, we cannot listen to anything.

GENESIS 18:11-12 NKJV

Now Abraham and Sarah were old, well advanced in age; and Sarah had passed the age of childbearing.

Therefore Sarah laughed WITHIN herself, SAYING, “After I have grown old, shall I have PLEASURE, my Lord being old also?"

H5730 pleasure

Original: עדנה עדן

Transliteration: ‛êden ‛ednâh

Phonetic: ay'-den

Strong's Definition: From H5727; pleasure:- delicate, delight, pleasure.

GENESIS 18:13-14 NKJV

And the Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh, saying, ‘Shall I surely bear a child, since I am old?’

Is anything too hard for the Lord?

At the APPOINTED TIME I will return to you, according to the TIME of LIFE, and Sarah shall have a son.”

GENESIS 17:1-2 EASY

When Abram was 99 years old, the Lord appeared to him.

The Lord said, ‘I am God Almighty.

In all your life, obey me and do nothing wrong.

Then I will certainly keep my covenant with you.

I will make your descendants grow in number.’

At the appointed time, Jesus will come.

GENESIS 17:3-4 EASY

Abram fell down so that his face touched the ground.

God said to him, ‘As for me, this is my covenant that have made with you.

You will become the ancestor of many nations of people.

GENESIS 17:5-6 EASY

Your NAME will not be Abram any more.

INSTEAD your NAME will be Abraham, because I will cause you to become the ancestor of many nations.

I will give you many descendants.

These will make many nations of people.

Some of your descendants will become kings.

GENESIS 17:15-16 EASY

Then God said to Abraham, ‘As for your wife, DO NOT CALL HER Sarai ANY MORE.

INSTEAD, her name will be Sarah.

I will BLESS her.

She will give birth to a son for you.

MANY nations of people will be her descendants.

Some of them will become kings.

THAT is HOW MUCH I WILL BLESS HER!’

JOHN 11:38 AMP

So Jesus, again deeply moved within [to the point of anger], approached the TOMB.

It was a cave, and a BOULDER was lying against it [to COVER the ENTRANCE].

JOHN 11:39 AMP

Jesus said, “TAKE AWAY THE STONE.”

Martha, the sister of the dead man, said to Him, “Lord, by this time there will be an offensive odor, for he has been dead four days! [It is hopeless!]”

JOHN 11:40 AMP

JESUS said to her, “DID I NOT SAY to YOU that IF you BELIEVE [IN ME], you will SEE the glory of God [the expression of His excellence]?”

JOHN 11:41-42 AMP

So THEY took away the stone.

And Jesus raised His eyes [TOWARD HEAVEN] and said,

“Father, I thank You that You have heard Me.

I knew that You always hear Me and listen to Me;

but I have said this because of the people standing around, so that they may believe that You have sent Me [and that You have made Me Your representative].”

All of our wrong beliefs have to be rolled away.

JOHN 11:43 AMP

When He had said this, He shouted with a LOUD VOICE,

“LAZARUS, COME OUT!”

JOHN 11:44 AMP

OUT came the man who had been DEAD, his hands and feet tightly wrapped in burial cloths (linen strips), and with a [burial] cloth wrapped around his face.

Jesus said to them, “UNWRAP him and RELEASE him.”

See God in our situation.

To experience Dalet, determination to move forward is a must.

A NEW OPEN DOOR is only available for people who STEP FORWARD to WALK with GOD.

Therefore, whatever pressure or challenges we face today, we should continue to MOVE FORWARD.

Once we have walked through an open door, we will be transported to a NEW season and go through NEW and different experiences.

In this year of PEI DALET, we will experience a DIVINE SOURCE being OPEN to us, which will bring NEW transformation/NEW chapter in our lives.

Abraham had a Lot in his life.

He was helping Lot.

There was nothing wrong with that until Lot started having problems with Abraham.

Abraham does not hold on to Lot.

He simply gave him an option and the freedom to go.

They agreed not to fight and created a healthy distance.

This is about relationships you have with people that ever since you got too close to them, you lost your vision.

You lost sight of your future.

Your life has become about discussing other people instead of discussing your future.

You may need to let them go.

You don’t need to make noise or post about it.

They want to go; just let them go.

Abraham did was not only did he let Lot go, he didn’t

burn the bridge with Lot.

Abraham kept the relationship but at a distance.

Don’t burn bridges with places or people you walk away from. You don’t have to burn everyone you distance yourself from.

You don’t have to slander everyone you feel you should no longer be deeply connected with.

Sometimes they will need to come back to you or you will need to come back to them.

Genesis 13:18, "Then Abram moved his tent, and went and dwelt by the terebinth trees of Mamre, which are in Hebron, and BUILT an ALTAR there to the LORD."

Pitch A Tent And Build An Altar

Relationship with people are temporary; only with God it is permanent.

The tent can be our relationship, job or thinking.

Build an altar to the Lord.

Build a relationship with God.

Notice what happens to Abraham when Lot leaves.

He pitches a tent and builds an altar.

This is how you know you have a vision from God:

you renew your vision and reset your values.

They left thinking you won’t make it but what actually

happened is you got a clearer vision.

Never allow people who leave or you left them to make you feel like they stole your future.

They might have been a part of your past but ONLY GOD is part of your FUTURE.

You will still be able to make it without them but you cannot make it without God.

Your FUTURE is never connected to people who left you or you left them; it is always CONNECTED to GOD who STAYS with YOU, no matter who leaves your life.

If you have God, you have a HOPE, a FUTURE, and a DESTINY.

You BUILD things that are PERMANENT and you PITCH things that are TEMPORARY.

When God removes people or people leave, God renews your VISION and resets your VALUES.

Your tent is not an altar.

Every person that has a vision needs two things in their lives: an ALTAR they build and a TENT they pitch.

Our job, business, partnership, or friends is not our future.

In order for God to take us further, certain relationships or partnerships has to end.

Abraham lived longer than any of us will live on earth.

He was richer than most people will be in their lives but he had his VALUES STRAIGHT.

Our ALTAR is ETERNAL.

Our relationship with God is PERMANENT.

We must build our walk with God.

What is more important is our relationship with God.

If we build our relationship with God, He can take us to new relationships and partnerships.

We need to pitch our business and even our family but they are not eternal.

That is why you should never let your business, spouse, or family take your relationship with God.

It doesn’t matter how big, important, or great the tent is, it is not an altar.

Don’t treat your tent like it is an altar.

When Lot leaves, Abraham renews his vision and reset his values.

He pitched his tent and he BUILT an ALTAR to GOD.
