Continued - Understanding our Personality and Gifting in CHRIST

The Myers-Briggs Personality Type Indicator is a self-report inventory designed to identify a person's personality type, strengths, and preferences.

The questionnaire was developed by Isabel Myers and her mother Katherine Briggs based on their work with Carl Jung's theory of personality types.

Today, the MBTI inventory is one of the world's most widely used

psychological instruments.

Based on the answers to the questions on the inventory, people are identified as having one of 16 personality types.

The goal of the MBTI is to allow respondents to further explore and understand their own personalities including their likes, dislikes, strengths, weaknesses, possible career preferences, and compatibility with other people.

No one personality type is "best" or "better" than another.

It isn't a tool designed to look for dysfunction or abnormality. Instead, its goal is simply to help you learn more about yourself.

Myers and Briggs proposed that there were four key

dimensions that could be used to categorize people:

Introversion vs. Extraversion

Sensing vs. Intuition

Thinking vs. Feeling

Judging vs. Perceiving

Each of the four dimensions was described as a dichotomy,

or an either/or choice between two styles of being.

Myers and Briggs described this as a "preference" and proposed that any individual should be able to identify a preferred style on each of the four dimensions.

The sum of a person's four preferred styles becomes their personality type.

What is the meaning of the four letters in a personality type?

Each of the four letters in a personality type code stands for a preference in your style of THINKING or BEHAVING.

I/E: INTROVERSION OR EXTRAVERSION

The Introversion/Extraversion dimension describes how a person manages their ENERGY.

INTROVERTS  are energized by spending quiet time alone or

with a small group.

They tend to be more reserved and thoughtful.

EXTRAVERT  are energized by spending time with people and in busy, active surroundings.

They tend to be more expressive and outspoken.

S/N: SENSING OR INTUITION

The Sensing/Intuition dimension describes HOW an individual PROCESSES INFORMATION.

SENSORS  focus on their FIVE SENSES and are interested in information they can directly see, hear, feel, and so on.

They tend to be hands-on learners and are often described as "PRACTICAL."

INTUITIVES  focus on a more ABSTRACT level of thinking;

they are more interested in theories, patterns, and explanations.

They are often more concerned with the FUTURE than the present and are often described as "CREATIVE."

Most people cannot invent thing because they don't have the creative inside them.

T/F: THINKING OR FEELING

The Thinking/Feeling dimension describes how people MAKE DECISIONS.

THINKERS  tend to make decisions with their HEADS;

they are interested in finding the most logical, reasonable choice.

FEELERS  tend to make decisions with their HEARTS;

they are interested in how a decision will affect people,

and whether it fits in with their values.

J/P: JUDGING OR PERCEIVING

The Judging/Perceiving dimension describes how people APPROACH STRUCTURE in their lives.

JUDGES  appreciate structure and order; they like things planned,

and dislike last-minute changes.

PERCEIVES  appreciate flexibility and spontaneity; they like to leave things open so they can change their minds.

J means how you approach structure. you appreciate structure and order.

We are accepted in the beloved. You are accepted by Christ. He accepts us on one condition, if we believe in His Son, Jesus. God loves Jesus, accept Him and we are accepted because we accept Jesus Christ.

Love is acceptance.

2 CORINTHIANS 4:16 TPT

So no wonder we don’t give up.

For even though our OUTER PERSON gradually wears out, our INNER BEING is RENEWED every single day.

Characteristic of God will supersede what you see on the outside.

Fear of not good enough

Fear of lack

2 CORINTHIANS 4:17 TPT

We VIEW our slight, short-lived troubles in the LIGHT of ETERNITY.

We SEE our difficulties as the substance that produces for us an eternal, weighty glory far beyond all comparison,

View our trouble as temporarily

Meditating on God's word and know that He will take care of us

God's Word say..when we are saying God's Word say, we are exercising faith

Everything need to be taken from the view of the bible

Your future is bright

We focus on things not seen, but unseen

What you pay attention to? Focus on what is not seen.

The fire of God, the personality

Only our spirit man can perceive the abundance

Your spiritman can grasp it

2 CORINTHIANS 4:18 TPT

because we DON’T FOCUS our attention on what is seen but ON WHAT is UNSEEN.

For what is seen is temporary, but the UNSEEN REALM is ETERNAL.

Spiritman is the real you. He is created in the image of God

who God is and who you are in Him

EPHESIANS 4:21-22 NLT

Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from him, THROW OFF your OLD SINFUL NATURE and your FORMER WAY of life, which is CORRUPTED by LUST and DECEPTION.

EPHESIANS 4:23-24 NLT

INSTEAD, let the SPIRIT renew your THOUGHTS and ATTITUDES.

Put on your NEW NATURE, CREATED to be LIKE GOD—truly righteous and holy.

We can change thinking pattern to align with God's thinking

We need to depend on Him to change

all of us are stubborn, it is God's grace that remove the stubbornness and gives us a soft heart to change.

God wants us to be transformed when we receive the glorious Christ as in our new lives. Receive first than live

EPHESIANS 4:23 TPT

Now it’s time to be MADE NEW by every REVELATION that’s been given to you.

EPHESIANS 4:24 TPT

And to be TRANSFORMED as you EMBRACE the glorious CHRIST-WITHIN as your NEW LIFE and live in union with HIM!

For GOD has RE-CREATED you ALL OVER again in HIS perfect righteousness, and you NOW BELONG to HIM in the REALM of true holiness.

If it is not in line with the bible, don't agree.

If it is in line with the Word of God, don't disagree

First receive, now how to behave

EPHESIANS 4:25 TPT

So DISCARD every form of dishonesty and lying so that you will be known as one who ALWAYS SPEAKS the TRUTH, for we all BELONG to ONE ANOTHER.

Your new nature cannot lie.

You are not able to sin anymore!

Not able to and try not to is two different thing!

Our new nature can overcome the flesh

EPHESIANS 4:26-27 TPT

But don’t let the passion of your EMOTIONS lead you to sin!

Don’t let anger control you or be fuel for revenge, not for even a day.

Don’t give the slanderous accuser, the Devil, an opportunity to manipulate you!

EPHESIANS 4:28 TPT

If any one of you has stolen from someone else,

never do it again.

Instead, be industrious, earning an honest living,

and then you’ll have enough to bless those in need.

EPHESIANS 4:29 TPT

And never let ugly or hateful words come from your mouth, but INSTEAD let your WORDS become BEAUTIFUL GIFTS (constructive) that encourage others;

do this by speaking WORDS of GRACE to help them.

EPHESIANS 4:30 TPT

The Holy Spirit of God has sealed you in Jesus Christ until you EXPERIENCE your FULL SALVATION.

So never grieve the SPIRIT of GOD or take for granted his holy influence in your life.

EPHESIANS 4:31 TPT

Lay aside bitter words, TEMPER tantrums, revenge, profanity, and insults.

You have a new person, don't focus on the old person

EPHESIANS 4:32 TPT

But INSTEAD be kind and affectionate toward one another.

HAS GOD GRACIOUSLY FORGIVEN you?

THEN GRACIOUSLY FORGIVE ONE ANOTHER in the DEPTHS of CHRIST’S LOVE.

The ability to forgive is from the spirit

Don't let your personality stop the virtue of God from coming out.
