GOD'S PERFECT TIMING - [Sermon Note]

Pastor Deborah

ECCLESIASTES 3:11 NKJV

He has made everything beautiful in its time.

Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.

ECCLESIASTES 3:11 EASY

God has chosen a good time for all things to happen.

He has caused people to think about things that will continue forever.

But nobody can completely understand everything that God has done, from the beginning of their lives to the end.

Our spirit man think about things that can continue forever.

When talk about eternity, our mind and body cannot grasps.

Man is made of spirit, soul and body.

Spirit born again when we receive Jesus.

Only spirit man can understand eternity.

Many only think about eternity when they are going to die.

Death is just a change of address for us sons and daughters.

The word made is ‘asah' which means forming, fashioning, creating or fulfilling.

God will fulfil everything.

God wants to fulfil everything that He said in the Bible.

Everything in the Bible will be fulfilled.

The word everything is hachol from the root word kalal which has a definite article, the, and means the whole or the complete.

He makes all that He is fashioning or forming complete in His time.

Everything will be made complete in God's time.

Every sons and daughters of God will have a new body that is eternal during rapture.

New body will last forever and it will be the perfect body.

The word ‘asah for creating or making is a completed action.

All that He is forming, creating has already been formed and fashioned, He is just waiting for the right time to reveal what He has already prepared for us.

Whatever it is, it is beautiful.

The word beautiful is yapheh.

Some translations say appropriate, acceptable.

In God's eyes, there is no past, present and future.

Yapheh in its Semitic origins would best be represented by the English word beautiful.

It is something that excites the senses in a pleasurable way.

It is something that is lovely to look at and causes you to find satisfaction in looking at it or experiencing it.

Physical beauty will decay.

The word "Yapheh" is for both men and women.

We are being transformed into the image of God.

So, God has already fashioned something that will bring us great satisfaction and will reveal it to us in the appropriate time.

The word time is spelled Ayin Taw and pronounced ‘eth.

It has the idea of an appropriate time, the right circumstance.

When the time is right, when we need something that will give us satisfaction the most, God will unveil His little gift of beauty.

This verse is not speaking of a one time event.

It may even be a daily event.

God loves to give us little surprises, we just need to be alert to them.

Just a common daily event except for the ‘eth, the timing.

The timing is almost always perfect and creates that Yapheh, that sense of satisfaction.

God does make everything beautiful in the right moment of time.

When our spirit is beautiful, the fruits of the spirit comes out from our lives, it also influence and affect our physical.

PSALMS 90:2 EASY

From before the mountains began, and before you made the world, you were already there, as God.

You have no beginning and no end.

There is no “time” in the everlasting to everlasting (or eternity).

God is not governed or regulated by time in His thoughts and ways; rather, His thoughts and His ways are regulated by His own nature and sovereign pleasure.

The point when God decides on a new matter, that point is the beginning of the new matter.

For example, when God decided to create the heavens and the earth, that point when words proceeded from His mouth was the beginning of the heavens and the earth.

In the same breath, the point when God decides to end a matter, that point of withholding the breath of His nostrils is the end of the matter.

ISAIAH 46:10-11

Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things which have not been done, saying, My purpose will be established, and I will accomplish all My good pleasure; calling a bird of prey from the east, the man of My purpose from a far country.

Truly I have spoken; truly I will bring it to pass.

I have planned it, surely I will do it.

Whatever God has planned, He will do.

Personal promises, we need to believe it.

The concept of time may exist in God even before it was brought to bear, God does not think or act based on time-consciousness,

but rather based on His sovereign will and good pleasure; at which point, the beginning of a matter begins, or the end of a matter ends, without reference or giving due consideration to time.

God does not do things based on time.

Thus, God is the beginning and the end (Revelation 21:6; 22:13), and His sovereign will is always the right point to begin or end a matter regardless of time.

Jesus is the Aleph and the Tav; the beginning and the end.

God has his own sense of timing:

He has perfect timing:

never early,

never late.

God is never in a hurry, but he is always on time.

PSALMS 135:13-18 MSG

God, your name is ETERNAL, God, you’ll never be out-of-date.

God stands up for his people, God holds the hands of his people.

The gods of the godless nations are mere trinkets, made for quick sale in the markets: Chiseled mouths that can’t talk, painted eyes that can’t see, Carved ears that can’t hear— dead wood! cold metal!

Those who make and trust them become like them.

PSALMS 135:19-21 MSG

Family of Israel, bless God! Family of Aaron, bless God! Family of Levi, bless God! You who fear God, bless God!

Oh, blessed be God of Zion, First Citizen of Jerusalem! Hallelujah!

PSALMS 20:7 TPT

Some find their strength in their weapons and wisdom, but my miracle-deliverance can never be won by men.

Our boast is in Yahweh our God, who makes us strong and gives us victory!

PSALMS 20:7-8 EASY

Some people hope that their chariots will keep them safe.

Other people trust their horses to save them.

But we will TRUST in the NAME of the LORD our GOD.

Those people will fall down, and they will not get up again.

But we will get up and stand again, and we will be strong.

DANIEL 4:31-32 EASY

While King Nebuchadnezzar was still boasting about his power, he heard a voice from heaven.

It said, ‘I am speaking to you, King Nebuchadnezzar.

I have taken away your authority to rule as king!

People will chase you away from the city so that you live with the wild animals.

You will eat grass as cows do.

I will cause you to live like that for seven years.

Then you will understand that the powerful God above rules over human kingdoms.

He gives authority to rule to anyone that he chooses.’

DANIEL 4:33-34 EASY

Immediately the message given to Nebuchadnezzar really happened.

People chased him away from the city.

He ate grass as cows do.

Dew from the sky made his body wet.

His hair grew very long, like the feathers of an eagle.

His feet became like a bird's feet.

At the end of that time, I, Nebuchadnezzar, looked up towards heaven.

My own mind returned to me again.

I praised the powerful God above who lives for ever.

I worshipped him as a great God.

His kingdom will continue for ever.

He will always have authority to rule.

Spiritual restoration when Jesus came to died for us.

DANIEL 4:35-37 EASY

All the people on the earth seem like nothing to him.

He does whatever he wants among the angels in heaven, and among the people on the earth too.

Nobody can stop him.

Nobody can ask him, ‘Why are you doing that?’

When my own mind returned to me, I also received my authority again as king.

People respected me as a great king again.

My officers and important men came back to work with me.

I ruled again over my kingdom. I became even greater than I was before.

Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise the King of heaven as a great God.

He always does what is right and fair.

When people are proud, he can cause them to become humble.

JEREMIAH 33:25-26

Thus says the LORD, “If My covenant for day and night stand not, and the fixed patterns of heaven and earth I have not established,

then I would reject the descendants of Jacob and David My servant, not taking from his descendants rulers over the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

But I will restore their fortunes and will have mercy on them.

God first created an order, or fixed patterns, of cosmic proportions to regulate His creation, not time.

With order comes the measurement of the many constants of that order, like physical constants, mathematical constants, etc.

One of the units of such measure is time, although time is technically not a universal constant.

JEREMIAH 33:19-21 EASY

The Lord also said this to Jeremiah: ‘I, the Lord, say to you, “The day and the night will always come at their proper times.

I have made that agreement with them, and nobody can stop it.

In the same way, nobody can stop the covenant that I have made with my servant David, and with the Levites.

I promise you that there will always be a descendant of King David who rules as king.

I also promise that there will always be descendants of Levi to serve me as priests.

So, God created order, and then appointed the concept of time to regulate His creatures’ dwelling within this order – for instance, evening to morning to evening is one day; seven days make one week; new moon to new moon is appointed as one month.

Then men measured this order with ‘chronometer’ time – from sundials to oscillations of the Caesium atom, etc.

So, one full orbit of the sundial is 12 hours, and a full orbit of the earth around the sun is 12 months or 365.25 days.

So, it is the cosmic order that regulates the life, operational dynamics, and cyclical activities of His creation, not hours, minutes, and seconds.

JOSHUA 10:12-14

Then Joshua spoke to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the sons of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, O sun, stand still at Gibeon, and O moon in the valley of Aijalon.

So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, until the nation avenged themselves of their enemies.

And the sun stopped in the middle of the sky and did not hasten to go down for about a whole day.

There was no day like that before it or after it, when the LORD listened to the voice of a man; for the LORD fought for Israel.

Here, God did not stop time; rather, God stopped the cosmic order that regulated light, darkness, and human activities.

Even cyclical activities like tidal ebb and flow stopped.

If Joshua had a wrist watch (or analogue chronometer), the hour hand, minute hand, and second hand would have continued to turn even though the earth had stopped rotating and the moon had stopped orbiting.

Thus, mankind and both animate and inanimate things live by this cosmic order created by God.

Whether it is the ebb and flow of tides, summer and winter, or day and night, we live, sow, and harvest according to this cosmic order.

Animals do not read time, yet their activities are regulated by this cosmic order.

Therefore, time is immaterial in the cosmic scheme of things.

In fact, time was irrelevant in the Garden of Eden where God’s eternal life permeates mankind, and possibly all creations.

In other words, all creations were made perfectly to last eternally in the eternal God without decay over time.

There was no mention of time and age in Eden because time is irrelevant in the eternal God by whom all creations were sustained.

Adam and Eve were never meant to decay until they chose to disobeyed God.

Don't worry about tomorrow. He will provide for us.

God promised that He will sustain us.

However, when mankind and other creations were subject to futility, decay, and death because of man’s sin, they were separated from the eternal life of God.

Thus, without living forever, time was instituted to number the days, or lifespan, of mankind and creations, including the heavens and the earth.

In fact, the passage of time was first mentioned in Genesis 4, and age was first numbered in Genesis 5.

When we know God and Jesus, we are experiencing eternal life.

Knowing Him is living the eternal life.

Eternal life starts when we know Jesus.

Though it was only revealed through scriptures approximately 2600 years after creation, a sense of time was introduced by God after the Fall through scriptures to show the temporal nature of creation on account of sin,

to inspire a sense of futility apart from God in one’s limited lifetime,

and to provide a chronological order and perspective of God’s dealings with mankind in their times, seasons, generations, and epochs;

until the workmanship of God is complete, and the eternal purpose of God which He carried out in Christ is fulfilled; at which point, mankind will attain to the stature of the perfect image of God and dwell in eternity again in the new heavens and new earth (or new Eden).

Thus, time is the milestone that marks or points to the progressive workmanship of the ETERNAL GOD on temporal man,

such that FINITE MAN can know and respond to an INFINITE GOD in progressive bit-sized portions,

until the ETERNAL PURPOSE of GOD in HEAVEN is FULFILLED on temporal earth within the set number of milestones APPOINTED by GOD.

The one we need to cling onto is Jesus.

Time began to start after God created the Heaven and Earth.

It is through progressive revelations over this passage of time that man can find out the work which God has done from the beginning even to the end – something man could not do in the days of Ecclesiastes.

There are two dimensions of time.

The first dimension is chronological time as a unit of measure of the cosmic order.

ACTS 7:17

But as the time [Greek “chronos”] of the promise was approaching which God had assured to Abraham, the people increased and multiplied in Egypt,

PSALMS 105:19

Until the time [Hebrew “eth”] that his word came to pass, the word of the LORD tested him.

There is no time in God's mind.

God cannot use us when we are having all those flesh flowing out.

ECCLESIASTES 3:1

There is an appointed time [Hebrew “zeman”] for everything.

And there is a time [Hebrew “eth”] for every event under Heaven.”

PSALMS 90:12

So teach us to number our days, that we may present to You a HEART of WISDOM.

EPHESIANS 5:15-17

Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as WISE, MAKING the MOST of YOUR TIME, because the days are evil.

So then do not be foolish, but UNDERSTAND what the WILL of the LORD is.

Keep on coming to hear God's word.

ISAIAH 60:22 EASY

The least important person among you will become a great family.

The smallest person will become a large nation.

I am the Lord.

When the right time comes, I will cause it to happen quickly!

ISAIAH 60:22 NKJV

A little one shall become a thousand, And a small one a strong nation. I, the Lord, will hasten it in its time (eth).”

God will do according to His time.
