Pastor Stephanie
Miracle service we expect miracle.
JOHN 5:1 NKJV
After this there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
First miracle was water to wine
JOHN 5:2 NKJV
Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches.
JOHN 5:3-4 NKJV
In these lay a GREAT MULTITUDE of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water.
For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had.
JOHN 5:5 NKJV
Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity
THIRTY-EIGHT YEARS.
Everyone receive blessings and God’s salvation by believing in Him
He is not confine to the physical
He is God first
Jesus is telling us what is right with us
JOHN 5:6 NKJV
When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a LONG TIME,
He SAID to him, “DO YOU WANT to be MADE WELL?”
JOHN 5:7 NKJV
The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.”
JOHN 5:8 NKJV
Jesus SAID to him,
“RISE, TAKE UP your bed and WALK.”
JOHN 5:9 NKJV
And IMMEDIATELY the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked.
And that day was the Sabbath.
JOHN 5:12-13 NKJV
Then they asked him, “Who is the Man who said to you, ‘Take up your bed and walk’?”
But the one who was healed DID NOT KNOW WHO IT WAS, -
for JESUS HAD WITHDRAWN, a multitude being in that place.
JOHN 5:14-15 NKJV
Afterward JESUS FOUND HIM in the temple, and SAID to him,
“SEE, you HAVE BEEN MADE WELL.
Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.”
The man departed and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well.
Symptoms of sins are removed.
The God of heaven and universe
JOHN 5:17-18 TPT
Jesus answered his critics by saying, “Everyday my Father is at work, and I will be too!”
This infuriated them and made them all the more eager to devise a plan to kill him.
For not only did he break their Sabbath rules, but he called God “my Father,” which made him equal to God.
JOHN 5:30 TPT
“Nothing I do is from my own initiative, for as I hear the judgment passed by my Father, I execute judgment.
And my judgments will be perfect, because I can do nothing on my own, except to FULFILL the DESIRES of MY FATHER who SENT ME.
You are found. Don’t be the lost among the lost.
You are the found among the lost.
You are in Christ. You are not lost if you feed the word of God
EXODUS 34:1-3 MSG
God spoke to Moses: “Cut out two tablets of stone just like the originals and engrave on them the words that were on the original tablets you smashed.
Be ready in the morning to climb Mount Sinai and get set to meet me on top of the mountain.
Not a soul is to go with you; the whole mountain must be clear of people, even animals—not even sheep or oxen can be grazing in front of the mountain.”
EXODUS 34:4-7 MSG
So Moses cut two tablets of stone just like the originals.
He got up early in the morning and climbed Mount Sinai as God had commanded him, carrying the two tablets of stone.
GOD descended in the CLOUD and took up his position there beside him and
called out the name, God.
God passed in front of him and called out,
“GOD, GOD, A GOD of MERCY and GRACE, ENDLESSLY PATIENT —
SO MUCH LOVE, so deeply true—
loyal in love for a thousand generations,
FORGIVING iniquity, rebellion, and sin.
Still, HE DOESN’T IGNORE SIN.
He holds sons and grandsons responsible for a father’s sins to the third and
even fourth generation.”
EXODUS 34:8-9 MSG
At once, Moses fell to the ground and worshiped, saying,
“Please, O Master, if you see anything good in me, please Master, travel with us, hard-headed as these people are. Forgive our iniquity and sin.
Own us, possess us.”
EXODUS 34:10-12 MSG
And God said, “As of right now, I’m making a covenant with you:
In full sight of your people I will work wonders that have never been created in all the Earth, in any nation.
Then all the people with whom you’re living will SEE how tremendous God’s work is, the work I’ll do for you.
Take careful note of all I command you today.
I’m clearing your way by driving out Amorites, Canaanites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites. Stay vigilant.
Don’t let down your guard lest you make covenant with the people who live in the land that you are entering and they trip you up.
EXODUS 34:19-20 MSG
“Every firstborn from the womb is mine, all the males
of your herds, your firstborn oxen and sheep.
“Redeem your firstborn donkey with a lamb.
If you don’t redeem it you must break its neck.
“Redeem each of your firstborn sons.
“No one is to show up in MY PRESENCE EMPTY-HANDED.
ACTS 2:38-39 MSG
Peter said, “Change your life.
TURN to GOD and be baptized, each of you, in the NAME of JESUS CHRIST, -
so your SINS are FORGIVEN.
Receive the GIFT of the HOLY SPIRIT.
The promise is targeted to you and your children, but also to all who are far away—whomever, in fact, our Master God invites.”
God did not show Jesus mercy. He can show us His mercy. We do not need to suffer any consequences anymore.
We don’t need to be sick or feel pain.
Healing, restoration, blessings
For God to forgive us, Jesus had to die at the cross.
Get out from the world of suffering.
ACTS 2:40 MSG
He went on in this vein for a long time, urging them over and over,
“Get out while you can; get out of this sick and stupid culture!”
ACTS 2:41-42 MSG
That day about THREE THOUSAND took him at his WORD, were baptized and were signed up.
They COMMITTED THEMSELVES to the teaching of the apostles, the life together, the common meal, and the prayers.
How a powerful God can forgive our sins and don’t punish us anymore.
Believe in Jesus Christ by faith we don’t receive punishment, we receive blessings.
In Christ He gives us a blessed life.
They brought forth commitment
They were committed to listen to the teaching.
ACTS 2:43-47 MSG
Everyone around was in awe—
all those wonders and signs done through the apostles!
And all the believers lived in a wonderful harmony, holding everything in common.
They sold whatever they owned and pooled their resources so that each person’s need was met.
The church of Jesus Christ
ACTS 2:43-47 MSG
They followed a DAILY DISCIPLINE of worship in the Temple followed by meals at home, every meal a celebration, exuberant and joyful, as they praised God.
People in general liked what they saw. EVERY DAY their number GREW as GOD ADDED those who were saved.
Is the presence of God that miracle happens.
