There is miracle and blessings in Jesus! Jesus is not just a faith and miracle worker.
Besides knowing Him as a miracle worker, there is something about Jesus. He is concern about us. Living the life and character of nature of God
How to distinguish between child of God and child of devil?
The mighty act of God plus what the unbelievers don’t have - the hidden Man of the heart
What a beautiful woman you are! (Not just gender, it also applies to man)
Greek words and Hebrews words are not like English word.
1 Peter 3:3-4 NLT
Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes.
You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God.
Quiet spirit means undisturbed
Gentle quiet spirit -> humble
1 Peter 3:5-6
For in this manner, in former times, the holy women who trusted in God also adorned themselves, being submissive to their own husbands, as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, whose daughters you are if you do good and are not afraid with any terror.
Trust in God. What does this beauty do?
DAUGHTERS -
Greek word : Teknon (children)
A male child
Teknon, we are all children. All sons of God. Our position in Christ as sonship
Child of Sarah. In God’s mind, not only for ladies.
1 Peter 3:4-7 MSG
The holy women of old were beautiful before God that way, and were good, loyal wives to their husbands. Sarah, for instance, taking care of Abraham, would address him as "my dear husband." You'll be true daughters of Sarah if you do the same, unanxious and unintimidated.
The same goes for you husbands: Be good husbands to your wives. Honor them, delight in them. As women they lack some of your advantages. But in the new life of God's grace, you're equals. Treat your wives, then, as equals so your prayers don't run aground.
NEW LIFE OF GOD’S GRACE YOU ARE EQUALS
Jesus came and He gave grace.
In Him, He brought woman up in greater status.
In God’s grace you are equal. Equal partners.
Genesis 12:4-6
So Abram left just as GOD said, and Lot left with him. Abram was seventy-five (75) years old when he left Haran. Abram took his wife Sarai and his nephew Lot with him, along with all the possessions and people they had gotten in Haran, and set out for the land of Canaan and arrived safe and sound.
Abram passed through the country as far as Shechem and the Oak of Moreh. At that time the Canaanites occupied the land.
Abram was 75 years old
Exodus 16:2-3
Then the whole congregation of the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness.
And the children of Israel said to them, “Oh, that we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the pots of meat and when we ate bread to the full! For you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.”
Normally we will have a lot of complain, but Sarah was quiet and not complaining.
Proverbs 21:9 NLT
It’s better to live alone in the corner of an attic than with a quarrelsome wife in a lovely home.
WHAT IS SARAH’S STRENGTH?
At 65 years old, there was no complain.
Righteousness was given to Abram
Genesis 12:14-15
When Abram arrived in Egypt, the Egyptians took one look and saw that his wife was stunningly beautiful. Pharaoh's princes raved over her to Pharaoh. She was taken to live with Pharaoh.
STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL
She has this inner beauty. This Sarah is beautiful and amazing woman.
Beautiful-
Fair beautiful and handsome
Genesis 12:16-17 MSG
Because of her, Abram got along very well: he accumulated sheep and cattle, male and female donkeys, men and women servants, and camels. But GOD hit Pharaoh hard because of Abram's wife Sarai; everybody in the palace got seriously sick.
There is a God. Sarah trusted God. When she trusted God, God saw her heart. Her obedience to the husband was because she trusted God.
The freedom is when we know that God will work on our behalf when we trust Him.
God did His part.
Genesis 12:18-20
Pharaoh called for Abram, "What's this that you've done to me? Why didn't you tell me that she's your wife? Why did you say, 'She's my sister' so that I'd take her as my wife? Here's your wife back—take her and get out!"
Pharaoh ordered his men to get Abram out of the country. They sent him and his wife and everything he owned on their way.
Isn’t that wonderful when God works for you? Trust in the God who will always protect you. The vengeance is the Lord’s.
Grace is about God is good.
Sarah was very beautiful inside outside.
Beauty attracts favour.
Genesis 39:6-7 MSG
and all Potiphar had to concern himself with was eating three meals a day.
Joseph was a strikingly handsome man. As time went on, his master's wife became infatuated with Joseph and one day said, "Sleep with me."
Favour of God. God can make us pretty both inside and outside.
Jesus came to give us beauty for ashes inside and outside.
Whenever God is with you, you are beautiful.
The presence of God can be seen on you.
When God is with you, everything you do will prosper.
When you are beautiful and favored, you get promotion.
You are anointed if you are in Christ.
Genesis 39:5-6 MSG
From that moment on, GOD blessed the home of the Egyptian—all because of Joseph. The blessing of GOD spread over everything he owned, at home and in the fields, and all Potiphar had to concern himself with was eating three meals a day.
Joseph was a strikingly handsome man.
Genesis 39:7 MSG
As time went on, his master's wife became infatuated with Joseph and one day said, "Sleep with me."
We are in the state of vulnerability. When we grow from glory to glory in Christ.
Trusting God is Sarah’s main strength.
Sarah’s weakness was impatient. With patience we inherit the promises.
Love is Patience. She decided to help God.
Genesis 16:1-2
Sarai, Abram's wife, hadn't yet produced a child. She had an Egyptian maid named Hagar. Sarai said to Abram, "GOD has not seen fit to let me have a child. Sleep with my maid. Maybe I can get a family from her." Abram agreed to do what Sarai said.
God sees the heart.
When God gives us a promise, God fulfils it.
Moses waited 40 years for the promise of him being the deliverer.
When God gives us a promise, just wait and believe.
Build the patience inside us. This is more important to God.
When we cannot already, God comes in.
Genesis 16:3-4
So Sarai, Abram's wife, took her Egyptian maid Hagar and gave her to her husband Abram as a wife. Abram had been living ten years in Canaan when this took place. He slept with Hagar and she got pregnant. When she learned she was pregnant, she looked down on her mistress.
Sarai was despised by Hagar.
Genesis 16:4
So he went in to Hagar, and she conceived. And when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress became despised in her eyes.
God was building her character during this 10 years.
Genesis 17:1-2
When Abram was ninety-nine years old, GOD showed up and said to him, "I am The Strong God, live entirely before me, live to the hilt! I'll make a covenant between us and I'll give you a huge family."
When God shows up, miracle happens.
Genesis 17:15-16 MSG
God continued speaking to Abraham, "And Sarai your wife: Don't call her Sarai any longer; call her Sarah. I'll bless her—yes! I'll give you a son by her! Oh, how I'll bless her! Nations will come from her; kings of nations will come from her."
There is a time of waiting
There is a time God deals with us in relation to Him
Sarah at 89 years old, God called her princess.
Sarah -
Noble woman, noble lady
Head person, princess, queen
When your spirit is beautiful inside, your mind is synced to your body. As you take care of your body, the Lord will direct us.
Princess comes from the word prince
You rule over your body. You will have more control and discipline over this body.
Sarah at 89 years old, God called her princess.
Psalms 103:1-5 MSG
O my soul, bless GOD.
From head to toe, I'll bless his holy name!
O my soul, bless GOD,
don't forget a single blessing!
He forgives your sins—every one.
He heals your diseases—every one.
He redeems you from hell—saves your life!
He crowns you with love and mercy—a paradise crown.
He wraps you in goodness—beauty eternal.
He renews your youth—you're always young in his presence.
Your name is written in the palm of God’s hands.
Every part of your life is all directed and designed by God. There is no coincidence in God.
We make the mistake but God still turn around for our good.
Heaven recorded the generosity. The heart.
The gifts are given to us because God delights in us. Not because we deserve it.
The first gift is the forgiveness of sin
He CROWNS you with love and mercy.
We wear this crown because of His righteousness.
Sees God as good. Very very good!
Always be in His presence and you will look always young!
If we look too much into the world we reflect the world
Look at His Word we reflect Him
Genesis 17:17 NLT
Then Abraham bowed down to the ground, but he laughed to himself in disbelief. “How could I become a father at the age of 100?” he thought. “And how can Sarah have a baby when she is ninety years old?”
All about believing and trusting God
Hebrews 11:11-12 MSG
By faith, barren Sarah was able to become pregnant, old woman as she was at the time, because she believed the One who made a promise would do what he said. That's how it happened that from one man's dead and shriveled loins there are now people numbering into the millions.
She believed the one who made a promise would do what He said.
Every sermon is to provoke you to go nearer to God
Whatever you desire you can ask God
We are daughters or sons of Sarah - the beauty of the hidden man of the heart and stunningly beautiful
2 Corinthians 10:3 NKJV
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.
Mighty in God for pulling down strongholds.
2 Corinthians 10:4-5
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
Medical science said some diseases cannot be cured. This is stronghold.
Stronghold is casting down every argument
Captive of the wrong thinking.
God will show you what are the strongholds.
Think : Will Christ think this way?
Stronghold -
Fortress, concrete
We need strong power.
The holy spirit can break strongholds
We have the ability to break strongholds by the power of the holy spirit
1 Peter 3:5-6 NLT
For in this manner, in former times, the holy women who trusted in God also adorned themselves, being submissive to their own husbands, as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, whose daughters you are if you do good and are not afraid with any terror.
Romans 10:8-13
So what exactly was Moses saying?
The word that saves is right here,
as near as the tongue in your mouth,
as close as the heart in your chest.
It's the word of faith that welcomes God to go to work and set things right for us. This is the core of our preaching. Say the welcoming word to God—"Jesus is my Master"—embracing, body and soul, God's work of doing in us what he did in raising Jesus from the dead.
That's it. You're not "doing" anything; you're simply calling out to God, trusting him to do it for you. That's salvation. With your whole being you embrace God setting things right, and then you say it, right out loud: "God has set everything right between him and me!"
Scripture reassures us, "No one who trusts God like this—heart and soul—will ever regret it." It's exactly the same no matter what a person's religious background may be: the same God for all of us, acting the same incredibly generous way to everyone who calls out for help. "Everyone who calls, 'Help, God!' gets help."
In his heart he believed.
Each time he looked at the stars he was visualising.
Calling into being exactly what God does.
Believe from your heart and speaks with your mouth.
BELIEVE -> MADE RIGHTEOUS -> MIRACLE
Scripture reassures us, "No one who trusts God like this—heart and soul—will ever regret it." It's exactly the same no matter what a person's religious background may be: the same God for all of us, acting the same incredibly generous way to everyone who calls out for help. "Everyone who calls, 'Help, God!' gets help."
For Pastor Phearek, you will grow strikingly handsome, so learn the wisdom of God on how to handle woman in the church.
Are you excited to be strikingly beautiful and handsome? Amen!
God created beauty for us to enjoy. Pleasure for us to enjoy.
We enjoy the blessing of God. Beauty is His plan. We need to understand God’s heart and mind.
