Session 1: Foundation 02 - No Condemnation in Christ

[Sermon Note] Living In Pleasure, Not Pressure

Pastor Stephanie

God when He uses His people to spread the gospel He is not giving lectures. He gives us the ability and not our self effort.

120 of the people in the upper room. They were so filled with the fire.

New Creation in Christ is even more powerful

GENESIS 2:15

So the Lord God took the man [He had made] and settled him in the GARDEN of EDEN to cultivate and keep it.

To cultivate is to work but without stress.

God’s intention is very important

The heaven and the earth was completed. On the 7th day God completed His work that He has done. He rested on the 7th day.

H5731 EDEN

Transliteration: ‛ÊDEN

BDB Definition: EDEN = "PLEASURE"

the first habitat of man after the creation;

Strong's Definition: Eden, the region of ADAM'S HOME:- Eden.

The part of growing the garden is not Adam’s part. Is God’s part.

The real happiness is when your home is Eden.

Genesis 2:11-15

The name of the first is Pishon; it is the one which skirts the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold. And the gold of that land is good. Bdellium and the onyx stone are there. The name of the second river is Gihon; it is the one which goes around the whole land of Cush. The name of the third river is Hiddekel; it is the one which goes toward the east of Assyria. The fourth river is the Euphrates.

Then the LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it.

God our Father has prepared everything for us

Enjoy this life. The world don’t have the holy spirit.

For us is life. Natural life to live in.

Genesis 2:20-23

So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him.

And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. Then the rib which the LORD God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.

And Adam said:

“This is now bone of my bones

And flesh of my flesh;

She shall be called Woman,

Because she was taken out of Man.”

GENESIS 18:9-10 AMPC

And they said to him, Where is Sarah your wife?

And he said, [She is here] in the tent. [The Lord] said, I will surely return to you when the season comes round, and behold, Sarah your wife will have a son.

And Sarah was listening and heard it at the tent door which was behind Him.

GENESIS 18:11-12 AMPC

Now Abraham and Sarah were old, well advanced in years; it had ceased to be with Sarah as with [young] women.

[She was past the age of childbearing].

Therefore Sarah laughed to herself, saying, After I have become aged shall I have PLEASURE and DELIGHT, my Lord (husband), being old also?

God meant for Sarah to enjoy

2 CORINTHIANS 3:5 AMP

Not that we are sufficiently qualified in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our SUFFICIENCY and QUALIFICATIONS come from GOD.

God provides everything inside us

2 CORINTHIANS 3:6 AMP

He has qualified us [making us sufficient] as ministers of a new covenant [of salvation through Christ], not of the letter [of a written code] but of the SPIRIT;

for the LETTER [of the Law] KILLS [by revealing sin and demanding obedience],

but the SPIRIT GIVES LIFE.

All of us have been given.

Spirit gives life!

We have holy spirit. New nature

2 CORINTHIANS 3:7 AMP

Now if the MINISTRY of DEATH, engraved in letters on stones [the covenant of the Law which led to death because of sin],

came with such glory and splendor that the Israelites were not able to look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, [a brilliance] that was fading,

2 CORINTHIANS 3:8 AMP

how will the MINISTRY of the SPIRIT [the new covenant which allows us to be Spirit-filled] fail to be EVEN MORE glorious and splendid?

Self effort brings pressure

2 CORINTHIANS 3:9 AMP

For if the ministry that brings CONDEMNATION [the old covenant, the Law] has glory,

how much MORE does glory overflow in the ministry that brings RIGHTEOUSNESS [the new covenant which DECLARES BELIEVERS FREE of GUILT

and SETS THEM APART for GOD’S SPECIAL PURPOSE]!

Today we have ministry of righteousness

Condemnation kills.

Ministry of righteousness in Christ

The gospel is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes. In the good news is the righteousness of God revealed.

The “not good enough” belongs to the old nan who has died.

2 CORINTHIANS 3:10 AMP

Indeed, what had glory [the Law], in this case no longer has glory because of the glory that SURPASSES it [THE GOSPEL].

2 CORINTHIANS 3:10 TPT

What once was glorious no longer holds any glory because of the INCREASINGLY GREATER GLORY that has REPLACED it.

2 CORINTHIANS 3:12-13 AMP

Since we have SUCH a [GLORIOUS] HOPE and CONFIDENT EXPECTATION, we SPEAK with GREAT COURAGE,

and we are not like Moses, who used to put a veil over his face so that the Israelites would not gaze at the end of the glory which was fading away.

2 CORINTHIANS 3:14 AMP

But [in fact] their MINDS were hardened [for they had lost the ability to understand];

for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remains UNLIFTED,

because it is REMOVED [only] IN CHRIST.

2 CORINTHIANS 3:15-16 AMP

But to this day whenever Moses is read, a veil [of blindness] lies over their heart;

but whenever a person TURNS [in repentance and faith] to THE LORD, the veil is taken away.

The veil has to to be removed.

Where the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

2 CORINTHIANS 3:17 AMP

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and WHERE the SPIRIT of the LORD is, there is LIBERTY [emancipation from bondage, TRUE FREEDOM].

2 CORINTHIANS 3:18 AMP

And we all, with unveiled face, CONTINUALLY SEEING as in a mirror the GLORY of the LORD, ARE PROGRESSIVELY BEING TRANSFORMED into HIS IMAGE from [one degree of] glory to [even more] glory, which comes from the LORD, [who is] the SPIRIT.

GALATIANS 3:13 AMPC

CHRIST purchased our FREEDOM [redeeming us] from the curse (doom) of the Law [and ITS CONDEMNATION] by [Himself] becoming a curse for us, for it is written [in the Scriptures], Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree (is crucified); [Deut. 21:23.]

GALATIANS 3:14 AMPC

To the end that through [their receiving] CHRIST JESUS, the BLESSING [PROMISED] to ABRAHAM might come upon the GENTILES, so that we through FAITH might [all] RECEIVE [the realization of] the promise of the [HOLY ] SPIRIT.

ROMANS 7:1-2 TPT

I write to you, dear brothers and sisters, who are familiar with the law. Don’t you know that when a person dies, it ends his obligation to the law?

For example, a married couple is bound by the law to remain together until separated by death.

But when one spouse dies, the other is released from the law of the marriage.

ROMANS 7:3-4 TPT

So then if a wife is joined to another man while still married, she commits adultery.

But if her husband dies, she is obviously free from the marriage contract and may marry another man without being charged with adultery. So, my dear brothers and sisters, the same principle applies to your relationship with God.

For you died to your first husband, the law, by being co-crucified with the body of the Messiah.

So you are now free to “marry” another—the one who was raised from the dead so that you may now BEAR spiritual fruit for God.

Dead to sin and alive to God

The divine sperm is in you

ROMANS 7:5-6 TPT

When we were merely living natural lives, the law, through defining sin, actually awakened sinful desires within us, which resulted in bearing the fruit of death.

But NOW that we have been fully RELEASED from the power of the law, we are dead to what once controlled us.

And our lives are NO LONGER MOTIVATED by the obsolete way of following the written code,

so that now we may SERVE GOD by LIVING in the freshness of a NEW LIFE in the POWER of the HOLY SPIRIT.

When you put the law, it will stir up the wrong desire.

ROMANS 7:7-8 TPT

So, what shall we say about all this? Am I suggesting that the law is sinful?

Of course not!

In fact, it was the law that gave us the clear definition of sin.

For example, when the law said, “Do not covet,” it became the catalyst to see how wrong it was for me to crave what belongs to someone else.

It was through God’s commandment that sin was awakened in me and built its base of operation within me to stir up every kind of wrong desire. For in the absence of the law, sin hides dormant.

We have new nature.

Romans 6:14

For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

ROMANS 7:9-10 TPT

I once lived without a clear understanding of the law, but when I heard God’s commandments, sin sprang to life and brought with it a death sentence.

The commandment that was intended to bring life brought me death instead.

ROMANS 7:11-12 TPT

Sin, by means of the commandment, built a base of operation within me, to overpower me and put me to death.

So then, we have to conclude that the problem is not with the law itself, for the law is holy and its commandments are correct and for our good.

LIVING UNDER LAW - PRESSURE

ROMANS 7:13-14 TPT

So, did something meant to be good become death to me?

Certainly not!

It was not the law but sin unmasked that produced my spiritual death.

The sacred commandment merely uncovered the evil of sin so it could be seen for what it is.

For we know that the law is divinely inspired and comes from the spiritual realm, but I am a human being made of flesh and trafficked as a slave under sin’s authority.

Will power of the soul is not strong enough

ROMANS 7:15-16 TPT

I’m a mystery to myself, for I want to do what is right, but end up doing what my moral instincts condemn.

And if my behavior is not in line with my desire, my conscience still confirms the excellence of the law.

ROMANS 7:17-18 TPT

And now I realize that it is no longer my true self doing it, but the unwelcome intruder of sin in my humanity.

For I know that nothing good lives within the flesh of my fallen humanity. The longings to do what is right are within me, but WILLPOWER IS NOT ENOUGH to ACCOMPLISH it.

ROMANS 7:19-20 TPT

My lofty desires to do what is good are dashed when I do the things I want to avoid.

So if my behavior contradicts my desires to do good, I must conclude that it’s not my true identity doing it, but the unwelcome intruder of sin hindering me from being who I really am.

Law only appeal to your mind.

Your conscience is now been made clean

You need God’s power to set you free. Not your own power.

Pressure is not just having a lot of money.

Be of good cheer because Jesus has overcome the world!

Our mind we need to fix on the things of what He has done

Man is to do right to please God

ROMANS 7:23-24 TPT

But I discern another power operating in my humanity, waging a war against the moral principles of my conscience and bringing me into captivity as a prisoner to the “law” of sin—this unwelcome intruder in my humanity.

What an AGONISING SITUATION I am in!

So WHO has the POWER to RESCUE this MISERABLE man from the unwelcome intruder of SIN and DEATH?

ROMANS 7:25 TPT

I give all my thanks to GOD, for HIS MIGHTY POWER has finally provided a way out THROUGH OUR LORD JESUS, the Anointed One!

So if left to myself, the flesh is aligned with the law of sin, but now my RENEWED MIND is FIXED ON and SUBMITTED to GOD’S RIGHTEOUS principles.

THE BEGINNING OF LIFE OF PLEASURE

ROMANS 8:1 TPT

So NOW the CASE is CLOSED.

There remains NO accusing voice of CONDEMNATION against THOSE who are joined IN LIFE-UNION with JESUS, the Anointed One.

You are righteous by faith.

When you marry to Him, instead of trying to please God, He is pleased with you.

Adam’s sin brought condemnation.

To condemn means “to pronounce to be guilty, to sentence to punishment, or to pass judgment against.”

ROMANS 5:16 TPT

And this free-flowing gift imparts to us much more than what was given to us through the one who sinned. For because of one transgression, we are all facing a death sentence with a verdict of “Guilty!”

But this gracious gift leaves us free from our many failures and brings us into the perfect righteousness of God—acquitted with the words “Not guilty!”

ROMANS 5:16 AMP

Nor is the gift [of grace] like that which came through the one who sinned. For on the one hand the judgment [following the sin] resulted from one trespass and brought condemnation, but on the other hand the free gift resulted from many trespasses and brought justification [the release from sin’s penalty for those who believe].

JUSTIFICATION is GOD'S righteous act of removing the condemnation, guilt, and penalty of sin, BY GRACE,

while, at the same time, DECLARING the UNRIGHTEOUS to be RIGHTEOUS,

through FAITH in CHRIST'S atoning sacrifice.

You and Me in Christ

No condemnation

Not guilty

Enjoy the life without pressure.

Take your new certificate. Justified. Not guilty! Walk free!

Beginning of the pleasure, walk free

Beginning of pleasure is when we understand no condemnation
