YOD THE MOVING HAND יד OF GOD OPENING THE DOOR INTO THE SUPERNATURAL - [Sermon Note]

Pastor Deborah

To enter the divine realm is through the door of Jesus.

'Sakal' is success in Hebrew.

The “Yod” is the 10th letter of the Hebrew Alphabet,

and it is by far one of the most significant letters of the entire Alphabet for many reasons.

One reason for this is that it is this letter that occurs the most frequently in the entire God designed Hebrew text of Genesis to Malachi.

The letter “Yod” is the most prolific letter found in the Hebrew text of the Old Testament.

This single letter is used by God over 31,500 times, more than any other letter.

This appears to show God’s emphasis and importance of the letter.

Jesus while walking the face of our planet confirms this letter’s importance by saying the following:

MATTHEW 5:18 AMP

For I assure you and most solemnly say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the SMALLEST LETTER or STROKE [of the pen] will pass from the Law until all things [which it foreshadows] are accomplished.

Realise these:-

1) Jesus is the one doing the speaking and

2) that He is speaking of the Hebrew written Law.

We find out quickly that we are in the need of a translator because we know that Jesus was born a Jew in Israel, and He was inspired by the Holy Spirit what to say everywhere He went.

This makes HIS WORDS, GOD’S WORDS.

Spirt man has been activated to be able to receive revelation of who God is.

But Jesus was most likely speaking in the Hebrew tongue to these people.

MATTHEW 15:24 NKJV

But He answered and said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”

But the writer of the Gospel of Matthew is being inspired by the Holy Ghost to write the original Hebrew spoken words in the Greek language.

Any inspired words in the original written languages makes them the Word of the Living God.

Many of the important names of God begin with this letter, JEHOVAH, JAH, YESHUA, JERUSALEM, ISRAEL, etc.

Why is Israel a chosen nation? Why are we chosen?

- To show forth His glory to the world.

- To show that there is a God in this world.

The more we walk with Jesus, the more they will see Christ in us.

Christians cannot be ignorant of the spiritual realm.

Another major reason why this letter is so significant is what the picture of it represents.

The ancient Hebrew letter “Yod” is a picture of an extended arm with a HAND reaching out DOING WORK with their IMPLIED POWER.

2 CHRONICLES 32:19 NKJV

And they SPOKE AGAINST the GOD of JERUSALEM, as against the gods of the people of the earth—the work of men’s hands.

2 CHRONICLES 32:20-21 NKJV

Now because of this King Hezekiah and the prophet Isaiah, the son of Amoz, prayed and cried out to heaven.

Then the Lord sent an angel who cut down every mighty man of valor, leader, and captain in the camp of the king of Assyria.

So he returned shamefaced to his own land.

And when he had gone into the temple of his god, some of his own offspring struck him down with the sword there.

2 CHRONICLES 32:22 NKJV

Thus the Lord saved Hezekiah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem from the hand of Sennacherib the king of Assyria, and from the hand of all others, and guided them on every side.

Hand signifies work, something that we do.

Proud and arrogant men and women today still stand in defiance of the powerful YOD “HAND” of GOD as this king was doing.

He was opposing God’s people who were being led by Hezekiah.

This king thought much too much of himself, by believing that his hand was more powerful than the Hand of God that created him.

This defiant king was put down and brought to nothing by the hand of one angel, sent from God.

Adam and Eve chose to be independent of God.

God is eternal and He wants us to depend on Him because He will take care of us forever.

If we take the fruit from the tree of life, we are dependent on Jesus.

The hand of God will do the things for us.

Each Hebrew letter is at least two numbers,

1) the order of sequence and

2) an assigned gematria value.

As we have seen many times the number values have very specific meanings only found when we choose to search for them in the scriptures.

YOD = Number 10

After the yud, each letter's gematria increases by ten instead of one.

Yud is ten, kaf is twenty, lamed is thirty, mem forty, and so on.

The number ten is the number that represents ordinal perfection and/or completeness.

There were 10 recorded creation of God statements in Genesis 1.

Each statement was God revealing a place where, “GOD SAID” something and that which was spoken was then manifested and God calls these types of things the works of His hands.

ISAIAH 45:12 NKJV

I have made the earth, And created man on it.

I—My hands—stretched out the heavens, And all their host I have commanded.

God creates Adam forming his body with His hands from the dirt of the ground and places on him 2 hands, one left and one right and having 10 total fingers.

PSALMS 119:73 NKJV

Your hands have made me and fashioned me; Give me understanding, that I may learn Your commandments.

There were 10 generations from Adam to Noah when God’s flood judgment came upon the earth (Gen 5).

Abraham pays tithes (10%) to Melchizedek.

GENESIS 14:20 NKJV

And blessed be God Most High,

Who has delivered your enemies into your hand.”

And he gave him a tithe of all.

There are many created beings that resided both in heaven and on the earth that had hands meaning ABILITY to DO WORK, EXERT POWER and PERFORM and CARRY OUT purposes of design either for “good” or for “evil”.

This means God designed us all with “HANDS” to carry out and perform internal choices or external instructions.

God was the original model of this feature.

The phrase “hand of God” occurs 16 times in the KJV Bible.

The phrase “hand of the LORD” occurs in 38 verses.

The phrase “Lord’s hand” occurs 5 times.

Therefore, that is more than enough references to understand that GOD has defined Himself to POSSESS a quality or feature called “HANDS” in the SPIRIT REALM.

EACH Hebrew letter is also a “WORD”.

Therefore, the spelling of the equivalent word of each letter and its arrangement and joined meanings of the combined formed word letters provides us with several new layers of application and meaning.

Then there are the multiple layers of usage and context selections by the designer of the text and word arrangements for a specific order, that causes the NEVER-ENDING ABUNDANCE of INFORMATION that can be HIDDEN around one letter of the alphabet.

This is called intelligent design by a very intelligent designer.

The Hebrew word equivalent of this letter Yod, is the word H3027 spelled as “Yod” + “Dalet”.

This Hebrew word is used in the Bible over 1500 times and is translated over 1000 times as “hand” and over 270 times in the plural form as “hands”.

H3027

Original: יד

Transliteration: YÂD

Phonetic: yawd

Strong's Definition: a hand (the open one (indicating power, means, direction, etc.), in distinction from H3709, the closed one); used (as noun, adverb, etc.)

The word H3027 sounded as “yawd”.

This word begins with the letter “yod” meaning “hand” and ends with the letter “dalet” meaning a “door”.

A “door” allows movement out of the walls that keeps out what is outside or keeps enclosed what is on the inside.

Therefore, the combined meaning of these two letters represents the “moving hand” or the “hand that moves”.

Thus, this applies a figurative symbolic meaning to the word as someone that moves their hands for the positive actions to “throw”, “work”, “correct”, “plant”, “make”, “create”, “invent”, “save”, “heal”, etc.

Yod, being the smallest letter of the Hebrew alphabet, represents the SPIRITUAL, all which is beyond the physical, yet it plays the most important rôle in the whole of Creation.

The letter Daleth (also called the Doorway of Creation) the lower part, another Vav, makes the horizontal movement, thus adding another dimension.

Thus when we pronounce the word Yod, the name of this letter, in it concealed is the whole scheme of Creation…

This letter has a beautiful and elegant shape, with a particular appeal to artists.

The letter Yod represents the sephira Chokmah.

According to the Kabbalah, the letters of the alphabet were used in the CREATION of the world;

in other words, LANGUAGE develops at the same time as spirituality involutes into the manifestation.

for instance in the utterance:

Let there be light: and there was light (yehi-or vayehi-or)

Yod: the smallest letter of the Hebrew alphabet is the STARTING and END POINT used to WRITE ALL other letters.

The Yod is seen in the written expression of every letter and therefore compared to the omnipresence of God through all of His creation.

The form of the Hebrew is made by a dalet ד and yod י .

The י yud is a picture of the divine.

The ד is a picture of the physical world and the door.

As hey ה is a picture of the spirit, it can be seen as us returning to the divine י by the door ד .

Yod represents a mere dot, iota (this Greek word obviously is a close relative of Yod), a little speck, a tiny point in which all the divine energy of Creation is concentrated.

God chooses and uses the smallest to accomplish big things:-

DEUTERONOMY 7:7 EASY

Why did the Lord choose you as the people who would give him pleasure?

It was not because you were the largest nation on the earth.

No, you were the SMALLEST of all nations!

DEUTERONOMY 7:8 EASY

but because the Lord loves you, and because He would keep the oath which He swore to your fathers, the Lord has brought you out with a MIGHTY HAND, and redeemed you from the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

Dominion has been restored to the New Creation.

JUDGES 6:15 NKJV

So he said to Him, “O my Lord, how can I save Israel?

Indeed my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.”

JUDGES 6:16 EASY

The Lord answered him, ‘Understand that I will be with you!

You will destroy the Midianites as if they were only one man.’

Wisdom of God is different than the wisdom of man.

NUMBERS 12:1-2 EASY

Moses had married a woman who was a descendant of Cush. Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because he had married that woman.

They said, ‘We do not believe that the Lord has really spoken only by Moses.

We believe that he has spoken by us too.’

The Lord heard what they said.

NUMBERS 12:3 EASY

Moses was a very humble man.

He was the most humble person in the whole world.

NUMBERS 12:4-5 EASY

Immediately, the Lord said to Moses, Aaron and Miriam,

‘You three people come out to the Tent of Meeting.’

So the three people went there.

Then the Lord came down in a pillar of cloud.

He stood at the door of the tent.

He said that Aaron and Miriam should come nearer.

They both came nearer.

NUMBERS 12:6-7 EASY

Then he said, ‘Listen to my words!

If there is a prophet among you, I, the Lord, will show myself to him in a vision.

Or I will speak to him in a dream.

But it is different when I speak to Moses.

He is the one that I trust to lead all my people.

God has high regard for Moses.

NUMBERS 12:8 EASY

I speak clearly to him, as I come near to him.

I do not say things to him that are hard to understand.

He even sees the shape of the Lord.

So you should have been afraid to speak against my servant Moses!’

1 CORINTHIANS 1:26-27 EASY

Christian friends, remember the time when God called you to come to him.

Think about what you were like.

Not many of you were clever or powerful in the way that people think is good.

Not many of you belonged to important families.

Instead, God chose to use things that people think are silly.

He did this so that clever people would be ashamed.

Yes, God chose to use things that people think are weak.

He did this so that powerful people would be ashamed.

God chose the weak to confound the strong.

1 CORINTHIANS 1:28 EASY

God chose to use things that people think are useless.

People who belong to this world do not like those things.

They think that they have no value.

God did this so that the things that seem important would become unimportant.

If we are not humble, when God gives us the wisdom and anointing, it all goes to the head. Pride then comes in.

Pride comes before the downfall.

God deals with our character.

Recognise the man and woman of God by their character and fruits of the spirit.

1 CORINTHIANS 1:29 EASY

Because of all this, nobody can be proud of themselves in front of God.

1 CORINTHIANS 1:30 TPT

For it is not from man that we draw our life but from God as we are being joined to Jesus, the Anointed One.

And now he is our God-given wisdom, our virtue, our holiness, and our redemption.

1 CORINTHIANS 1:31 TPT

And this fulfills what is written: If anyone boasts, let him only boast in all that the Lord has done!

Don't boast in our own achievement but boast in the Lord.

When we boast, we boast of Him.

Boast what He has done in our lives.

DEUTERONOMY 11:10-12

“For the land, into which you are entering to possess it, is not like the land of Egypt from which you came, where you used to sow your seed and WATER it with your FOOT like a vegetable garden [k-gan].

But the land into which you are about to cross to possess it, a land of hills and valleys, drinks WATER from the RAIN of HEAVEN,

a land for which YHWH your God cares; the eyes of YHWH your God are always on it, from the beginning even to the end of the year.

YHWH’s eyes were always on Israel. He cared deeply for this land which was compared to a well watered garden:

Intertwined ourselves with God's word.

God has to deal with our character.

The Lord is good and when you fill your heart with his goodness, your MOUTH will SPEAK of treasures from the past, for the present, and for the future.

You will be WRITING and COMPOSING the good the Lord has for you and your generations to come.

Receive the goodness of our Lord and your tongue will also be the pen of a ready writer.

PSALMS 45:1 TPT

My heart is on fire, boiling over with passion.

Bubbling up within me are these beautiful lyrics as a lovely poem to be sung for the King.

Like a river bursting its banks, I’m overflowing with WORDS, spilling out into this sacred story.

Let our heart be on fire.

The Mouth of God Activates the Hand of God

ROMANS 4:17 EASY

In the Bible, God said to Abraham, ‘I have chosen you to become the ancestor of many different people.’

That is what God himself promises, because Abraham BELIEVED in HIM.

God is the one who causes dead people to become alive again.

He SPEAKS about things that are NOT YET THERE as if THEY WERE ALREADY THERE.

God create something out of nothing by speaking and the hand of God moves.

What was not there will be there.

God called things as though they were.

ROMANS 4:18 EASY

Abraham continued to trust God.

He HOPED to RECEIVE what GOD HAD PROMISED.

He CONTINUED to HOPE even when he had no good reason to hope.

THAT IS WHY he became the ancestor of many different people.

It HAPPENED JUST LIKE GOD HAD SAID : ‘You will have very many descendants.’

Jesus is now our security.

We bind ourselves with God's word.

We can hope in God.

Our hope has been nailed on Jesus on the cross.

Holy Spirit is our guarantee.

Cling on to His promises and His word.
